Prepare a brief for human review

Drafting workbench

Illustrative notes: support asked for clearer timezone labels; engineering will inspect current wording; a full settings redesign was only suggested.

01

Extract the agreed action

Owner role · Facilitator

Evidence: The brief quotes or summarizes the timezone investigation decision accurately.

02

Draft the task proposal

Owner role · Planning owner

Evidence: The proposal includes scope, evidence to collect and an owner awaiting confirmation.

03

Review the proposal

Owner role · Decision owner

Evidence: The reviewer confirms the action and rejects invented deadlines or redesign commitments.

Decision to make: Draft the wording investigation as a proposed task and keep the redesign as an uncommitted idea.

Use the downloaded brief as planning input. AI suggestions remain proposals; review scope, owners and acceptance evidence yourself.

Illustrative drafting input

Invented planning text. Adapt it to your evidence and confirmed owners.

Source decision: engineering will inspect the current timezone wording.
Source idea, not approved work: redesign the settings interface.
Draft request: propose one bounded wording-investigation task. Include evidence to collect and an acceptance-review question.
Constraints: do not invent an owner, deadline or redesign commitment.
Human review: compare the draft with the meeting decision and ask the real owner to confirm responsibility before adopting it.
Decision record: inspect timezone wording; preserve the approving authority and rationale from the actual meeting.
Separate action: collect examples of current wording, with an owner to be confirmed. The decision record is not itself that work assignment.

Put the outline to work

  1. Remove private or unnecessary information before sharing notes with any AI service.
  2. Label decisions, ideas and unanswered questions separately in the input.
  3. Review the draft against the meeting record before creating or assigning real work.

Questions about this workflow

Can every sentence become a task?

No. Discussion includes context and options. Extract only agreed actions or clearly labelled proposals for a later decision.

What belongs in the drafting input?

The agreed outcome, relevant constraints and unresolved questions. Omit personal data and confidential material that the tool is not approved to receive.

How does an accepted decision differ from a task?

A decision records the chosen outcome, approving authority and rationale. The tasks are the separate actions needed to implement it, each with a confirmed owner and acceptance evidence. Agreement on the outcome does not automatically assign those actions.

Does this create tasks in the product?

No. The brief is a manual planning resource. Use the product access link to check onboarding and the workflows available in your account.
